P002 → A Small Book On...”

This project is a personal design manifesto, expressed through a collection of five small, handmade books that each explore a different principle guiding my creative practice. The series—A Small Book on Flippancy, A Small Book on Juxtaposition, A Small Book on Analog Experimentation, A Small Book on Iconography, and A Small Book on Being Eccentric—functions as a fragmented yet cohesive reflection on my design values, process, and sense of play.

Each book is 12 pages, saddle-stitched and printed in small batches on 110 lb cardstock, giving the series a tactile, intentional quality. While distinct in tone and topic, the books are unified by their scale, form, and voice—acting almost as pocket-sized provocations or mini manifestos. The showcased titles, Flippancy and Juxtaposition, dive into the power of irreverence and unexpected pairings in design, encouraging a looseness that invites curiosity and contradiction.

This collection embraces the personal and the peculiar, offering an alternative to overly polished design theory. Through writing, typography, and image-making, each book invites the reader into a space of exploration—less instructive, more inquisitive. As a set, they prioritize experimentation over perfection and serve as an ongoing reminder that design can be serious about not taking itself too seriously.
